At Sanifruit we have a comprehensive solution for the treatment of pome fruit in South Africa.  Our products are formulated with food-grade ingredients, are organic and vegan certified. Its point of application is the drencher.

The products that are applied in the drench systems are:

  • Sani-AS: It is a coating that prevents scalding. It has no influence on internal browning in pears
  • Sani-PF: Recommended in situations of high incidence of fruit decay and for long-lasting cold storage. At Sanifruit we prescribe combining with Sani-AS.

Using these treatments, individually or in combination has multiple advantages for pome fruit

  • Moisture losses are reduced
  • We protect against scalding, shriveling and decay.
  • No added active materials in our post-harvest treatments

Finally as part of Sanifruit’s global solution we propose that after cold storage our treatment of Sani-AS L & Sani -PF L are used in the packing process to increase the protection of the fruit during shipping.

Our products protect the fruit against external agents, weight loss and cold damage. In addition Sanifruit products reduce the number of MRLs and help both packers and exporters to access restrictive markets and offer an extra value to the receivers.
